We only work with selected schools to assist them deploy devices to their students. To qualify for a loan, you must be the parent or guardian of a student at one of the schools we are working with. Part of your application process will involve Cyclone Finance gaining confirmation that the named student is enrolled at the school stated on your application form.
Our standard interest rate is 13.95%
Unlike almost all other finance companies, Cyclone Finance does not charge an early repayment fee. You can repay your debt in full at any time and will not be penalised.
If you have more than one child at the school, you may apply for multiple loans – one for each students’ device.

Once you have applied online, we aim to get back to you promptly during business hours – our average response time is 24 hours. When an e-mail address has been provided, we will contact you via e-mail – either with an approved application, or a request for further information.
Once submitting your application form to us, you will receive an email confirming this. This means we have received your application form and will be processing this. We will be in touch whether your application is approved or not.
As long as you’re 18 or over and a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, anyone can apply for a loan with Cyclone Finance, even if you have bad credit (see FAQ: ‘What if I have bad credit?’).
Unlike many other companies, Cyclone Finance applications are assessed by a person – not by a computer or an automated scoring system. This means that certain types of adverse credit can be overlooked.
